What Are They? Depleted uranium (DU) is a toxic heavy metal and the main by-product of uranium enrichment. It is the substance left over when most of the highly radioactive isotopes of uranium are removed for use as nuclear fuel or for nuclear weapons. DU possesses the same chemical toxicity properties as uranium, although its radiological toxicity is less.
Due to its high density, which is about twice that of lead, DU has been used in munitions designed to penetrate armour plate. It can also be used to reinforce military vehicles, such as tanks. Munitions containing DU explode upon impact and release uranium oxide dust… UN Office for Disarmament Affairs.
Why Are They Dangerous? [They] can pose extremely harmful environmental and health risks for communities that live close to war zones…Depleted uranium may pose a risk to both soldiers and local civilian populations. When ammunition made from depleted uranium strikes a target, the uranium turns into dust that is inhaled by soldiers near the explosion site. The wind then carries dust to surrounding areas, polluting local water and agriculture…Harvard International Review.
Will the Poms Do it? According to the Los Angeles Times, “The British Defense Ministry confirmed Monday [March20] that it would provide Ukraine with armor-piercing rounds containing depleted uranium. Such rounds were developed by the U.S. during the Cold War to destroy Soviet tanks, including the same T-72 tanks that Ukraine now faces in its push to break through a stalemate in the eastern Donbas region.”
Past Experience. The United States of America expended vast amounts of depleted uranium during its Forever War in Southwest Asia, notably in Iraq. The Middle East Research and Information Project, on September 22, 2020, commented: Depleted uranium is one of the most widely discussed contaminants in relation to birth defects. The World Health Organization released a report in 2003 entitled “Potential Impact of Conflict on Health in Iraq,” which suggested that depleted uranium might be related to reports of increased cancers, birth defects, reproductive health problems and renal diseases in the Iraqi population since 2003…International activists accused the US Department of Defense of negligence for using a weapon in Iraq that distributes toxic waste to where civilians live, grow food and draw water. Studies of American veterans hit by friendly fire with depleted uranium shrapnel have also demonstrated links between uranium and perturbations in reproductive hormones, including infertility.
Iraqis Targeted With DU
Where Will the Uko-Nazis Use This Stuff? In the Donbass region of the Eastern Ukraine. That area is a place of chimneys, factories, steel production, and coal fields. It is the Pittsburgh, the Birmingham, the Ruhr region of the breakaway republics of Donetsk and Lugansk. In 2013, they made up about 14% of the Ukraine’s Gross Domestic Product. Those two republics averaged about 8% of the Ukraine’s wheat production annually through 2020.
Poisoning the air and water and food and people with depleted uranium will go a long way towards suppressing the rebellion of the ethnic Russians in the region. They’ve already suffered 14,000 dead as the result of the murderous Zelensky government, so supported by the now-useless NATO membership.
What Will the Russian Federation Do? With the prevailing winds blowing from west to east, the poisonous DU will waft across Russia, contaminating more land and more people. Wouldn’t President Putin see this as an attempt to destroy the Russian Federation? With a reprisal against the country supplying such toxic death?
And What Will New King Chuckie III Do? On September 9, 2022, NPR (National Public Radio) noted “As King Charles III begins his reign as Britain's new monarch, focus turns to how he may use his position as head of state to promote causes that he's been passionate about for decades — the environment and climate change, in particular…” So, will he tell off Dishy Rishi Sunak, his First Minister (with the multi-millionaire wife)? Will he inform the former U.S. Permanent Resident that DU is not healthy for man or beast? Or will he be as silent as his mother on politics?
