Oh, Come on! While the Free State is trumpeting how inclusive, racially diverse, and multi-culti it is (electing a Negro governor and a Hindu as lieutenant governor), things, as always, are not what they seem.

Aruna Miller, the lieutenant governor born in Andhra Pradesh, India, has very deep and troubling ties to extremist Hindu organizations, notably Hindutva. This assemblage is an ultranationalist manifestation of Hindu Supremacy. There are two groupings within this. One, with a jaw-breaking name, Rashtriya Swyamsevak Sangh (RSS), is a right-wing organization possessing a paramilitary arm. American equivalent? The Ku Klux Klan—KKK. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has had a long history of leadership within this most unsavory group. The second is the political wing of Hindutva. Again, with a mandible-mashing title: Bharatiya Janata Party or BJP.
